The Hudson River is an estuary in New York that runs between Albany and New York City. The land around it, named the Hudson Valley, is famous for its farms, charming towns and local vineyards. This area has become more and more popular as people transition into the suburbs, and is only a short train ride away from New York City. Westchester County is part of the Lower Hudson Valley and its river towns are a great spot for a weekend getaway. The coveted river views here are not to be missed, and there are plenty of great look out spots to watch the sunset over the water. 1. Scenic Hudson Park

Scenic Hudson is a riverfront park located in Irvington, NY. It has a paved walking path around its perimeter and a large central lawn that is great for picnics and social distanced gatherings. To the south you can see the Manhattan Skyline and to the north the Mario Cuomo Bridge.

2. Mario Cuomo Bridge

As of June 2020, you can now walk across the Mario Cuomo Bridge. This new 3.1 mile path is accessible from Rockland and Westchester and has lanes for both walkers and bikers. 3. Croton Point Park

Croton Point Park is located on a peninsula in Croton, NY. This park is ideal for outdoor activities and has a waterfront beach, RV campground and a kayak rental service. It runs along the Half Moon Bay Marina which creates a unique cove ideal for both swimmers and sailors. 

4. Hudson River Walkway

The Scenic Hudson RiverWalk is a walkway along the river edge located in Tarrytown, NY. It’s the perfect place to walk off dinner and offers stunning views of the Mario Cuomo Bridge and Hudson River. Complete with wooden piers, gazebos and it’s very own lighthouse, this walkway is often filled with photographers at sunset, capturing the landmarks in the evening light.
